The safety recall refers to the engine starter. The starter relay of the engine starter is responsible for supplying power the starter. On affected vehicles water ingress may occur into the relay chamber of the engine starter. This could lead to corrosion.

A short circuit may also occur, resulting in local overheating of the engine starter. This could lead to a vehicle fire during vehicle operation or when the vehicle is parked and the ignition is off. On affected vehicles the engine starter will be replaced. |
